I think I remember reading an article in Deer & Deer Hunting a while back written by Charles Alsheimer, who always endorsed deer movement was in close relation with the moon phase, stating that after years of trail camera / moon phase data there wasn't any sign that the moon influenced deer movement.

Charlie's theory, from watching live deer in a pen, is that the full moons of fall drive breeding dates. This theory has been completely an unequivocally disproven.

Now do moon conditions have an affect on daylight deer activity? Yes, but only a minor one.
