Shoot the first legal deer that comes by.... Nothing better than to start the season off right.....

Hmmmmm...........the thermacell tip would be good for all season while it's still warm and i will definitely have mine, but if I could give a second piece of advice it would be this. STAY PUT!
Being opening day, this will be the first real day of all out human activity in and around your property. There will be unintentional drives going on all around you.
IMO, the longer that you can sit there, the higher your odds are of success.....
IMO, the reason it is more important early in the season is simple because the deer may indeed react abit differently in avoiding human activity early in the season before they get somewhat used to it and figure out where they need to go or maybe that they just need to not be so disturbed by the activity.
Similar to that covey of quail that you flush for the first time. They go everywhere....But, after you've flushed them a time or two they may indeed sit abit tighter or fly a shorter distance than before and sit back down. Later, running on the ground or sitting tighter as to not draw attention to themselves...
Opening day is magical and it has a new feeling for hunters and deer alike.
good luck

embrace the day, it only comes once a year....
Sit down, be quit, don't move...well that's what the Realtree guys say...
For me the best advise is: if you've done your homework, it will all come together. Shoot straight...
