anybody know of a good sealer to put on bottom of a aluminum jon boat?

I can't remember the name of it. There are some good ones out there. If it is riveted turn it upside down and put something on the back side of the rivet and hit them with a hammer will tighten them up some. I always used a thick paint on each rivet after doing that. If you know someone with a heliarc rig you can fix it permanent. If it is holes or cracks you need to fix I would just use JB weld. That stuff is amazing. Put water in the boat and you can find every leak in it. Good luck.

My father used to use some kind of roofing sealant, both the black and the silver coating. It worked great

highway...go to this website....www.tinboats.net...you will find everything you need to know about restoring a jon boat I have a 12 ft model and have done a ton of mods from looking on that website. Good Luck!
