my girlfriend just got into hunting last year and im lucky to kill 1 deer a year due to not having much land to hunt. i was wondering if their was anyone in the northeast TN area willing to let her kill her first deer. she has just purchased a crossbow and is really exited about hunting with it.so anyone with land around the tri cities willing to let her shoot her first deer would be greatly appreciated.i dont have many deer but would trade to take someone on a turkey hunt here in washington county. thanks.

yaeh i have hunted the cherokee nf my whole life and every year it seems there are less and less deer. i still hunt it on occasion but with her bieng new to deer hunting it would be very easy to get her burnt out on it since u most of the time u can go for a week without even seeing a deer.

getting a new person in to hunting can be tricky. Two things I try to stress is making it fun and do not put too much pressure on them to succeed.
It does help when they get to see deer most every trip. Boredom can ruin a newcomer's enthusiasm....
good luck

very true BH. she started turkey hunting last year and on opening day she she got her first turkey but this year she didnt get to hunt due to her working and going to school but we had a few close calls but just couldnt seal the deal on a bird this year. and since we are in unit b we only get 1 week of either sex hunting and none during rifle season when she had the time to go. we seen does about every time but nothing with any horns on it and the only time we got to hunt that place is when we were invited but she would get exited just bieng able to see some deer.
