I believe some people take these post to literal. When I say "try to put more time in to your hunting", in no way did I say go sit in the SAME stand everyday all day. Some of you need to let common sense prevail here.

I think most hunters know what it feels like after the alarm goes off to sit on the edge of a bed thinking about the process and the effort it will take to get there. Sometimes a cold pillow and a warm blanket are too much and I fall back, but every time I wake up later with regret. I know that i've never felt anything but good in that moment when i've settled in my stand waiting on the sunrise and any action that might follow.

Consistency is the main reason for any success i've had deer hunting. That means a lot of careful time in the woods, thinking, walking, observing, and planning for the best chance. I agree that any time spent doing such things can only be beneficial provided that a hunter realizes that his/her figurative footprint, or intrusion must be considered as it will certainly affect deer behavior, especially if it becomes too predictible.

Hunting a lot will up your odds of killing a mature buck only if you have a lot of different areas to hunt. If you have a small piece of property it will probably eliminate your chances completely.
