I hunt near there on some private land. Quite a few illegal hunters in the area. Bad enough TWRA has permission to use our tract for the decoy deer. That aside, the deer in the area seem to have been hit pretty hard from the disease 2 years ago. Last year was off quite a bit.

I have grew up around williamsport. Honestly, no crap, do not waste your time nor money for it. I have been here a long time and me and my family are big deer hunters and don't even waste our time putting in for it. Now I've got a friend that has access to private land beside it and they see some decent deer. But it's just to many people constantly coming in and out and too suburbanized to deer hunt it. I know tons of people that live around that area and don't waste their draws on this place. It is not managed for deer, just managed for family atmosphere fishing. We do really well at Chetham WMA ,well worth the drive, 20,000 acres of open as regular season WMA covered in food plots and ridges and timber, excellent deer and turkey population.
