Gator-N-Buck,
Great Post...What a lot of people forget is "What if they had none." Better than average would you say...Some think the grass is always greener on the other side. When in fact if they would just stop and look around...it's not that bad...
IMO...the hunting over the last ten years has gotten a lot better. You will get no complaint's from me. I've always said the highway runs both ways if you don't like it get some were... Well said. I agree.

Fine with me ,I have nothing but timeTomahawk Well if I can ever help...including even letting you hunt on land that with out a doubt has what your looking for. Now don't get too excited I'm not talking about season long but if your schedule can work it out by the time the season comes around you let me know...we can get it worked out. Warning...NO GUARANTEES... Why would I make this offer? Because I have had my successes and really get a greater thrill seeing someone else get that chance. Heck I practically hunt every day of the season including out of state trips as well. I find it relaxing to set someone up in a spot they would never think they would see a buck. The few people I have put in spots usually can't resist first 2 1/2 year old and spoil there chance for a true trophy or at least mature buck. But hey, they are thrilled and for 2 it was their biggest buck. And no it does not bother me they killed what I would pass up. People underestimate how many more bucks are in the woods. Sounds good to me,I have land in Perry county,we can do a swap a hunt,I love hunting new dirt,I have a big 9,or did last year that BSK aged at 41/2,if he is still around,he would be really nice,130 or so last year.Lets do it.

We can do it. I live in Knoxville, so my west TN hunts come on a whim. I try to go their at least 5-6 times thru out season. If the 4 1/2 old has moved on and was just a visiting buck, which in most of the time is the case. The good news is there will be another around here or there. I believe most people really underestimate the number of older bucks in a given 10 square mile of whitetail habitat. I'm not a biologist but I'm never concerned about whether or not there are mature bucks in any area I go to hunt. If I see one group of does, thats all the info I need. If there are deer in the area, THERE ARE GOING TO BE MATURE BUCKS AROUND DURING RUT! Head gear size, different story. A 4 1/2 130 class is not bad genetics and/or habitat, so your odds have gone up for that trophy. We'll see how schedules match up as we get closer to season.
