I believe several people were confused by my disappearing act on an earlier post. So this time I will make it easier to see exactly were I'm at even though I'm still hidden from view. All I'm doing is sitting down in a chair behind a "mirror" blind (actually called ghost blind). I'm 14 yds in front of camera with a target deer 3 yds from me. I"M IN THE MIDDLE OF AN OPEN FIELD WITH SUN DIRECTLY IN MY FACE. You should be able to make out the blind but have to admit it is still difficult to grasp what you are seeing. [img] [/img] Next picture I'm standing up from the chair acting like I'm about to shoot. You do not need to raise up to shoot. There are several shooting ports with plenty of clearance for bowhunter. [img] [/img] The next photo shows it from the back. [img] [/img] And last pic shows it ready for transport. [img] [/img] Very light weight and has tie down straps for all your equipment. Personally I only need is a chair or stool and my Z7 bow and I'm good to go. Never let wind dictate where you can go to hunt. If you can get to an area without bumping the deer, then your set up potential is almost limitless.

Down side for most is price. I buy so much equipment (fish ,hunt, golf) that I don't remember exactly but I believe it was between $200-$300. There are different models but I got the large. Handy if you have someone else hunting with you.But if your like me and put 2-3 new stands up on properties every year, then this can off set that need. But just the shear versatility it brings to the table is what sealed the deal for me. Was certainly skeptical but since I got it in my hands late season last year, I have been loving it. AWESOME for turkeys and coyotes. Bow hunt coyotes with this thing and you might just find a new passion.

$299.00 plus carrying case which runs $70-$100 depending on which you buy.

$299.00 plus carrying case which runs $70-$100 depending on which you buy. Thanks Diehard. I knew it was something like that. Seems like any other regular pop up blind is going to be at least $150. But how many times have you put one up and watch the deer spot it and skirt around it. I only have luck in blinds that have been in place for at least a couple weeks. The exception now being this ghost blind.

I'm certainly not trying to get people to go out and buy them necessarily. I just would want to know about something that could open up a complete new way of approaching my favorite hunting spots. A fellow could make a make shift version if he wanted. But put a little thought in it and MAKE SURE it angles downward to avoid sun glare. That is the most important feature that needs to be taken into consideration.

Would be great for gun hunting but kind of small shooting lanes for bowhunting.I would like to try one but they are way over priced.

(i'm primarily bowhunter) In the picture I have it wrapped around in semi-circle. But you can flatten it out for broader coverage and widen your shooting port.

i was just looking at the low spots that you would have to shoot through or else you have to raise up over it to shot.Don't think I would like that.

I can say for sure that I have no problems staying crouched in position and releasing arrow. Even on turkey which are much lower target. Now if you set up on real steep incline then you may need to make adjustment. Some day you may come across one and you can judge for yourself. I can only say that for me it is easy to release a shot at various angles.

Oh i agree its a great idea but like most things they want to much for it.An old redneck with the right tools could make one similar to it. You certainly could build one. But I doubt that it is as well thought out and as easy to take in and set up. Not to mention the quality, the very light weight, and so far the durability. You might try some aluminum thin sheets that have that mirror shine to it. ANGLE IT SLIGHTLY DOWNWARD. Shouldn't be to hard to fabricate something. Good Luck! If your successful, let me know. Will get it on the market and give these boys at ghost blind a run for there money.
Oh Im not the redneck to try and build it.lol Just saying someone will figure it out and post it on youtube or something

I only looked at it from small internet picture and description. Just didn't quite have the same appeal and seemed to be much smaller. If I can remember where I seen it I will let you know. Seemed like it was only $100 or so.

Oh Im not the redneck to try and build it.lol Just saying someone will figure it out and post it on youtube or something Good point... I can't build a Summit tree stand ot Muck Boots... I could probably copy that blind with time...JMO Summit stand would not be hard at all. metal, welder, and ruler. But I buy the products I don't make or sell them. So my opinion on the ghost blind is only what I have experienced. I'm not telling you that you need to BUY this. But rather just trying to inform you of something that actually does what it says it can do. And go the extra mile to take personal pics to help you see for yourself how effective it is. You get more than just the product itself. You get a new world of hunting. When could you ever just walk out into a cut corn field and sit 15 yards or less from where you know the deer will enter. Never could hunt before because no trees or the pop up blind you put up got blown away in a storm. I didn't realize you are a seller of hunting products. You want to sell me something else besides this product so obviously your opinion will be bias on this particular subject. But thanks for the input.

I only sell products that I use and believe in... Have used Summits for over 14 yrs and have wore Mucks for the last 3 seasons... I was just making a point about a product that I seen at a hunting show last year... The price seemed a little high for the product... I even thought of trying to figure out how to copy it...JMO... My father is the one that has a hunting business (coon hunting). I just dabble on the side to support my own habit..LOL

You have to admit it is cool. Especially the set up I did on other post "disappearing in plain sight". I simply walked right outside put it up, set up camera and took pictures for both post. No kind of prep work or trick photo here. What you see is what you get.

I totally agree... I thinks its a cool product and it would work with the background you are hunting in... I have always wondered (this neck of the woods) why they don't use more dead leaf brown colors for camo to use in late fall... It wood be cool to have a bblind that blends with the dead leafs on the side of the ridges in E. TN...JMO

Best I can describe is a thin type of plexi glass that has a soft 1/4-1/2 inch backing on it. This helps to keep it rigid. The backing is like a condensed foam that has thin outer shell (protection for foam) on the back side. (see pic of back) It has tie downs that secure very well and quickly to the ground. As you can see in original post it is set up on a slope but does not affect set up at all. It really is a cool piece of equipment. If your around knoxville I will even try to let you see it first hand.
