When it comes to deer hunting. TN will probably never be a Booner state no matter what the buck limits are... TN will probably never have small body deer or small racks on AVG. like some other states further south.... TN is pretty avg. in between all these states and why can't we live with AVG.... No one wants to be told that they have reached there limits or their state doesn't live up to the Expectationes of other states with booner bucks... I grew up in FL where the deer look like dogs compared to TN deer... The other thing is that FL is mostly sand except the pan-handle where most of the big bucks are killed in FL... This could be a clue...JMO We do grow some good fruit trees down in FL...
P.S.. Look up all the Booner states on the map and see how the are connected... The only exception is Texas... This isn't rocket science and BSK and others might know what they are talking about...

We have it pretty good in my opinion......
I am happy with my potential but i do sometime pine over the fact that in illinois, kentucky and iowa etc they have it GREAT.

I can agree with that assessment. But the good news is there are still plenty of areas of TN to get that trophy of a life time. I personally think TN offers many great opportunities for either trophy or mature bucks and sometimes BOTH with one shot!

I agree gator.You would have had fun here in the old days when everyone got excited when someone got a doe or small buck.hunting was more fun back then before everyone was a biologist.lol Now its almost sad to go to a checking station.Always one guy saying I would have let that deer walk.
