[img] [/img] This is my biggest TN buck. 5 1/2 year old 166 (gross) 160 2/8 (net) Boone&Crockett. I'm primary bowhunter but took this old boy with muzzleloader at 18 yds. First and only time to use muzzleloader as you may notice scope kiss on forehead. Killed him in 07. Had 4 others very similar in size on property that year. Of course the late frost of 07 really did a number on the mast crops not to mention the drought as well. And these deer were using the hay fields like it was the last source of food around. I'm sure you all remember the awesome hunting of 07!

Awesome buck, what county? Technically Madison but Chester and Hardeman are both within mile or so. Tickweeds part of the woods. In fact he killed a brute just down the road from the land I hunt within last couple of years. The farmer told me about it probably only hours after he killed it. We are fortunate to have great genetics in that area. I've been hunting that land all around there since '82 and there has always been good deer in that part of the state.

What about sharing your story on the kill. Thanks. I agree You can get full story on TN Deer Registry #3 Typical Muzzleloader. Pull up first 10 in that category and next to my name is pic and story. Sort of entertaining. Wish other hunters would post pics and story on the deer registry.

Awesome deer, Tomahawk. I went with the wife to a local furniture store the other day, saw your picture, and I asked lady working if she knew you. Maybe sister-in law, don't remember, but told her I knew you from Tn deer. Yes, Tn. may not be know for big brutes such as Illinois, Ohio, Kansas, but we both know it can happen. There are some scattered around, it's just a matter of being lucky enough to get on one. Welcome to Tn Deer.
