To start... I wish I had pictures, but I dont. So you all will have to take my word on this one....
This afternoon I went over to see one of my (hummmm.. plinkers) farmers that "we" have permission to hunt on. As I turned down the driveway I noticed a pair of fawns that were acting rather strange. They were hopping around and look like they were getting stung by a bunch of bees. I stopped and was looking for mom to see what she was doing. They were about 25 yds from my truck and paying no attention to it at all. After scanning the woods for about 15 seconds I spot another animal about 20 yds past the fawns. It was a big coyote crouched down in attack mode. I immediately got out of the truck took about three steps toward him and hollered. He took off out across a huge field and the fawns ran the opposite way into some thicker woods. Last time I saw the yote he was about 700 yds away from where the fawns were. Maybe they will make it. Never did see the doe. Wish I would have had my pistol with me. I could have took him out.

That's exactly why I think there should be a bloodletting on those critters--anytime of day or NIGHT, any weapon, any time of year!
