The licks stayed out year round and both saw considerably less use in winter months.

I quit putting them out last year because I got tired of paying for 4 of them at a time.

Just use plain ol loose trace mineral salt! Its a fraction of the cost and works as well if not better than the TR does. I switched exclusivelly several years ago after testing and proving there was NO advantage in use by the TR whatsoever, NONE!

Where do you get the loose stuff Winchester?

Any type of salt will get results. I just prefer the TR for multiple reasons.

We bought a couple of mineral blocks from walmart year before last and the deer didn't hardly touch them! Then I got to reading on here about the trophy rock and decided to give them a try. Two totally different results between the mineral blocks and the trophy rocks!

I got a mixture from Bill Winke that heads up Mid-West Whitetails.com

1 part Salt
1 part Trace Mineral Salt
2 parts Di-Calcium Phosphate

You can buy it all at CO-OP, but a put some TR on one farm, will be back on it Sunday showing it to client, to see how they are hitting it. Think I got 400lbs of the mix, cheaper than 4 TR's
