I like temps near freezing, November, heavy frost and no wind in the AM. Evenings slight breeze, upper 40s low 50s late October.

LOL, BSK is right both of those are exact conditions and time frames of when I killed my personal best. Oh well, it sure feels good to be in the woods then and confidence in a set up is important too.

Bluebird days for sure. North winds or Northwest winds seem to be best for movement although many of my stands are setup for south and east winds which is normally pre-front winds.

I like the bluebird skies and the cold mornings myself. Also prefer little to no wind.

However, I've seen/killed deer when it was cloudy with a light mist. One day was fairly mild, and the other day was rather cool.

Outside the Rut window, I have consistently saw more older aged bucks, up and on their feet, in daylight hours when it was raining vs. any other single weather pattern. I dont know if its as much they like the cover of the rain, or if they know from experience that this is when the least hunters will be afield and after them. After all they are masters at patterning us well before we pattern them, on average.

In the am like to hunt woods with a cold cloudy misty rain with little wind.

In a pm like to hunt fields which I prefer a blue bird day

Yup!
I love hunting the rain. Fog too gives them this sence of security I believe.
Not just deer, all my animal sightings go up in the rain...
And some Hunters don't want to go out in it. Hee Hee \:D
