Very windy days can be good too, if it is the 2nd+ day of wind.
I guess they lay up for a little while trying to wait it out. If the wind continues, they seem to have to move even more to catch up on feeding.
It sure makes hunting hard though, having to keep your head on a swivel because you can't hear anything.

I would much rather hunt in cold rainy weather, I rarely see anything on the pretty sunny days.

Right after a cold front moves thru and the atmospheric pressure rises. Warm, windy, and low pressure days is when I have seen the fewest deer.

Mid. November morning, heavy frost. No wind, and you can hear every single leaf drop.
At around 7:45am when the sun comes over the trees. ahh I can't wait

Sunshine, no wind, relatively cold.
Ditto.
Definitely my favorite weather for hunting, but I have shot deer in all types of weather conditions.

Absolutely...especially if it stormed hard the day before and cleared thru the night.
But for some reason, I have seen bigger deer during those hot muggy days of the first gun segment...go figure.

Like some here, I have seen/killed big deer during most every condition. I've killed them in a downpour and when they were walking across a field paved with ice.
I'm not fond of windy days, simply as a personal preference, but I don't sit at home when the weather is NOT RIGHT.
I am a firm believer in certain facts, based soley on my experiences......deer often react as individuals, many times deer react differently under exact conditions, deer get up and move when they want to and not according to some chart or time table, and you can't kill them if you aren't out there.
good luck

Outside the Rut window, I have consistently saw more older aged bucks, up and on their feet, in daylight hours when it was raining vs. any other single weather pattern. I dont know if its as much they like the cover of the rain, or if they know from experience that this is when the least hunters will be afield and after them. Particularly "Pre-Rut", during a steady light rain is absolutely the most likely time you'll see an "older" buck moving during daylight.
I speculate the reason may also have much to do with both temperature and "Real Feel" of the temperature.
Think about this. During our typical early archery season (pre-rut), deer have transitioned into their "winter" coats. Imagine how you would "feel" running around on a hot day wearing your Artic parka. You'd probably just not go anywhere.
Usually when it's raining, the daytime temps are a little cooler than most other days during October. Add to this that the deer get "wet" and therefore "cooler". Now their winter coat is no longer so "hot" while it's raining.
Like most, I love to hunt following the passage of a cold front, particularly the 2nd day after when the AM temp usually hits its lowest reading with the weather change. But pre-rut, I'd rather have a light steady rain. And on seasonally warm days during the rut, nothing better for daytime deer movement than a light steady rain.
