He's got a touch of wear on the first molar, but not enough to call him 3.5... I'm with you, agree he's 2.5

I'm guessing 3.5. Looks like the dentine is thicker on that 4th molar but it's kinda hard to tell from the pics. Heck he may be a tweener. He may be 3.

based on the amount of wear on the pre-molars and the fact that all of the molars show some dentine, at least 3.5

....and the pic you posted of the rack is sufficient to remove any doubt that he's at least that old.

I would have to have that jaw in my hands, but at least 2 1/2 and could easily be 3 1/2.

Can make all the difference.

If a picture is worth a thousand words,
having a jawbone in your hands is worth two pictures.

If I "felt" that buck's teeth to "feel" sharp to the touch,
I'd be more inclined to think he's 2 1/2, but just based on the picture(s), I agree he COULD be 3 1/2.

But his teeth look "sharp" pointed in the pics,
so my best guess is 2 1/2. \:\)

Darton Man, even with the teeth bleached out, that one looks older than 2.5, based on the outline of the dentine.

Darton Man,
That bleached out one "looks" more like 4 1/2 to me.

No way 2.5 is all it was.It is almost identical to the one above except the other one has a bit more wear to the back molar,Like what somebody has already said it is hard to judge one unless you have it in hand.

I agree having it in your hand can make a big difference.

But what is it specifically that makes you believe this one is no more than 2 1/2?
(I'm referring to Darton Man's pics, not Hunter Drew's.)
