I ask this question because I have read thousands of post of hunters worrying about the small stuff, regs, buck limits, and etc... How can hunting be fun if hunters are not happy or worried about the next guy....? Just a thought and don't beat me up to bad on the subject......
P.S... I always thought trigger control was not jerking the trigger, not letting big deer walk by,,,,

Absolutely, I have gone "Old School", no new fangled gadgets or gimmicks, just the way I used to do it back in the late '70s. I just hunt, whatever the limits may be. if i don't kill anything, so be it, a day in the field is better than a day at work or watching TV.

If it wasnt fun I wouldnt do it. I love it, but I love the chase the most. The scouting, habitat work all year, the trail cam pics, seeing positive results for all your hard work. Its just like icing on the cake when you get a deer, be it a doe or mature buck.

I really enjoy time at camp myself after a long day in the woods. Sitting around a fire bsing with the guys on the lease.
Don't get me wrong I love the hunt, but if I don't get anything I'm fine with that also.

When I am in the woods there is no other place I would like to be. There are probably places that I need to be but at that point in time there is no other place that I want to be.
The same is true whether I am hunting, fishing, scouting, working on the lease or the farm, or any other thing that falls within the realm of hunting and/or fishing.
When this ceases to be true I will find something else that makes me feel the same way but I don't think this will happen for at least 50 or more years!!!

Ditto... I have told my buddies a million times on draw hunts, its the luck of the draw... We should have more fun around the camp fire and be less serious on draw hunts on areas that we haven't hunted with a hundred hunter running around the woods in a 3 day period....

We think exactly alike . that's why i pretty much hunt solo because i get tired of all the other stuff. I just like to hunt old school too and enjoy myself.

I enjoy hunting but am enjoying sitting in camp more and more every year.Sometimes we just stay in camp and skip an afternoon hunt.

It is fun, but I will admit it is stressful. One of my big worries is if I am hunting a dead deer. I don't hunt spots I always hunt breeding scrape lines and it is long hours and slow hunting. Shots in the area always make me wonder if the 1 buck I am after is gone and all my time is being wasted. Most of the time he is still there and we meet at some point. it is part of it I guess, but I wish I the stress wasn't.
