How many of us have had the privilege of seeing two bucks fighting during the rut? Tell us a bit about what you saw and whether you bagged one of them?
Gratefully, TennesseeWhiskey

I have, not just sparring, but knock down drag out fighting, one trying to kill the other. i was doing research on the blugrass army depot in KY, and was not hunting. it was a great show, and i could have easily killed both of them. they were oblivious to my presence. these were two dominant bucks, but "Moses" won. i called him Moses because all the other deer parted way for him.

The most I ever seen was 3 all fighting each other. One of them was a shooter. But you could not shoot them. Have seen most of them fighting while going into some of the plants I work out

I didn't see them lock up but I had a 2.5year old snort weezed at a bunch of 1.5year olds while he was tending a doe, that was pretty awesome!

Ive seen an actual "fight" from the stand once. There where two fully mature brushbusters trying to destroy one another and they were taking the forrest with them. One of the most memorable days in the stand ive ever had. Me and 3 does just set back and watched the whole thing unfold. My heart was pumping hard for a good 15 minutes. It was a GREAT day in the woods, just was a little disappointed that it was KY bow season and they where never closer than 50 yds.

I have never witnessed an all out fight with death wishes for the opponent. As far as a Whitetail buck fight goes. I have seen videos and they are the most vicious animals in the world, in my opinion, when they want THEIR genes passed on.

Never two mature bucks. I did witness a mature breed a doe twice this year, which was a first for me.
