Where to get the best "tick" spray

Over the past few months, seems the best tick spray has become "unavailable" at many of the convenient places (such as Wal-Marts).
You can get it in huge quantity at any TN County Farmers Co-Op, or the otherwise best source and deal I've found is now Cabela's, link below. Cabela's has a 24 oz spray canister for $12.95. That's about the same quantity as three of the spray cans many would previously have picked up at Wal-Mart.

Regardless of the "brand" you may find & buy,
what you're wanting to keep the ticks off is a main ingredient of "Permethrin". You spray this on your clothes, not on your skin.
You may additionally want to spray any of the common mosquito repellents on your skin, although they don't work so well with ticks, as ticks can easily find lots of places you normally don't spray. The big advantage of Permethrin is that it's specifically formulated to actually kill ticks, before they find those places the sun never shines.

Yea i bough that kind. IMO leave the aerosol alone and get the pump spray bottle. It works ten times better.

i bought a pint of 10% permethrin at TSC($8) and cut it to .5%. i now have enough tick spray to last the whole family the rest of our lives.

Ive got a small stockpile of military grade from all my deployments that I use. It works well on my clothes but Im gonna check that out Wes thanks.

I'm going to have to do that. The aresol spray is expensive and getting hard to find.

I did the same thing a few years ago and we actually spray our whole camp and even have sprayed my back yard, works great and its cheap.

Maybe we all better stock up on tick spray, before it's outlawed.
You know it's no longer politically correct to kill ticks.
We're "supposed" to just let them "have at us" now.
