I'm going to open the can a little further... I worry about poachers more then what the next legal hunter is killing on the property I hunt or the property next to me... I guess this is because I'm in law enforcement and I know the real truth what really happens out there.... I have never really gave buck limits much thought until I started looking at this forum... I have seen many surveys done about buck limits and it looks like most hunters on this site does a go job on trigger control.. I also know these surveys get HIJACKED by one limit guys because they don't like the way they turn out or #'s these surveys prove on TN Deer... I don't know how hunting can be fun for some when they are always worrying about rules or regs... I guess I'm the type of guy that plays within the rules of the game unless the league thinks there needs to be changes.... I don't think the players needs to be the ones that always makes the changes or we would all throw for 500 yards a game or run for a 1000 yards per season...LOL

So who the H*** is the league that needs to over ride the rules if they decide that the rules don't fit thier style?....and I ain't just talkin hunting here,...I'm talkin the thin blue line... 
In my line of work the govt... makes the rules... Not the guys following them... The football comes from growing up and playing ball...  I like the way you stretched it and added your own words... The league would be the NFL, TWRA, and state law... Not the guys that have to follow the rules... Players, hunters, and officers... this might help for the guys that want to stretch a statement... I wonder where the thin blue line statement comes from... grind that axe somewhere else... 
I think it's pretty clear that the LEAGUE is TWRA and the players are the hunters.... TWRA makes the rules... I guess if we want to take a few words from a statement and add them together we could find away to make it fit an agenda...

I just hunt within the rules and don't worry about anything else.

I Like the way things are today. I can kill want I want within the limits. I don't think I have killed my buck limit for the last 9 years I have been in TN . Sometimes by choice and some years because I just did not see that many shooters. But it was still my choice and not someone else trying to tell me what a shooter was. Not everyone wants TN to become the next Big Buck state with a one buck limit and a 2 week season. I would rather hunt 3 1/2 months and kill a few does and a nice 2 1/2 year old buck then hunt 2 days and kill a 150 inch buck then have to watch football the rest of the fall.
