i agree 100 percent mossy oak. hurts the perception of hunting and a complete waste of time

i can't agree with that.i have talked to more people who get upset about people hunting for large racks than people hunting for food even if its a small deer people are usually ok if they know they shot it because they wanted the meat.

I agree with you rafi,...ain't no need in the pot calling the kettle black!...

Well I guess the waste of time comes down to the individual. However, I have seen cases where hunters have gotten thrown off a piece of property because they killed fawns. And in the eys of the nonhunter, a dead fawn will more likely cause outrage than the harvest of a huge buck. Think about watching the news, don't we have much stronger reaction when we here that a kid was murdered than an adult. It is just human nature and u cannot dispute that.

When I kill a large rack buck.....I eat the meat too. I think
some have the perception that all "trophy" hunters waste the
meat. I know a fawn must be like the best meat ever, but there
are very many one year old does walking around.

By the way, an older deer taste good too. Age the meat at the
correct temp., marinate, and cook correctly. Jerky is also good
from an older deer.

Good point rkenney. I kill one or 2 deer a year and they are mature bucks only. I cut the entire deer into jerky. I do not know of a single trophy hunter who do not use the meat in some manner.
