I have seen several post talking about different ways to deer hunt in different states. I have deer hunted in more then one state and have hunted in several different methods that were legal to those states.. I have had a ball no matter what method I have tried an in the end it's all deer hunting. Some guys like hanging in a tree and enjoying the peace and quiet. Some guys like hearing the dogs run and enjoy the social part of the sport.... I have enjoyed both and think its a great sport no matter what method I have tried...JMO

There is no wrong way, but there are legal/illegal and ethical/unethical. Some of those differences are decided by the govt and some are decided by the individual. If something is done within the confine of the law then it is up to the individual how they choose to hunt.

I have to agree and I have to shake my head sometimes when I hear people post that they don't like certains things or it won't work when they have never tried it...

if it's legal, then you choose.
opinions vary on the ethical side of it, but if it's fair chase and legal, then I say go for it. Just because I may not agree or may not want to hunt that way does not mean that you shouldn't.....

Yes, When a group of hunters come onto public land and hit several different areas conducting drives, walking all over anyone and everyone else in the area.....That is wrong. It is perfectly legal on most WMA's, but it ruins the hunting for anyone in the area that is stand hunting. It is rude and disrespectful, and is simply a way of seeing deer without putting in the work scouting, at everyone elses expense.

The Wrong Way...An interesting thought...As I look back on my own hunting experiences I believe I hunted the wrong way at times...knowing what I know now. As hunters I'm sure we all can look back and say we have done things the wrong way...As a hunter we strive to learn and do things better I believe...So is there a wrong way to deer hunt...maybe, but we learn from our mistakes...
I'm not talking about breaking the law or regulations either. Just hunting mistakes...
