i dint see but a couple of bucks during rut several small ones and my biggest buck to date a 9 point i think it scored around 110 not huge but im proud of it

I have never in my life had a year like this past one regarding a shut off in daylight movement as soon as it started getting light. Numerous times this past season, I would be rushing to get to a stand because bucks were grunting every step and making their way towards me because they heard me walking and tried to get to me. The assumption was, was they thought I was another deer. That has never happened in my life. It was kind of scary if I stopped and thought about it. Though, every time, I was able to get to my stand just before they got to the base of my tree. VERY interesting behavior, though it would completely shut off as soon as daylight came. I cant tell you how many times this occured and I thought it was going to be a GREAT day and my expectations were high. But all I ever saw were body outlines and racks in the darkness. Never could get an age on one of them.....too dang dark!
I sure hope its cooler during the rut this year

I agree...had Nov 2-8 off last year and it flat got hot on me! Cameras picked up rut activity but I only saw deer the first hour of daylight most days.

Us Florida Boys don't mind the heat but we sure hope it cools down for them big ole bucks this season....
