Same at our place. I would say the worse rut activity we have ever had on our farm.

Not to bust any one's bubble but I seen an unusual amount of buck activity last season , actually one of the best I've seen in a while . Didn't kill any wall hanger's but limited out on decent bucks ! May be just the time I spent hunting was prime time , just don't know . Lord really blesses those who need his help , and believe me I need his help !!!!

Just because you didn't SEE any good bucks movin during daylight hours don't mean they didn't move during daylight hours. Sounds more like a case of wrong stand location than weather. Hot does are going to be sought after by bucks regardless of weather or time of day, or month of year for that matter. Rut starts when first does come into heat and lasts until the last one gets bred. I agree that cold weather increases daylight movement, but to suggest that warm weather shuts down ALL daylight movement is a farse, even regarding good bucks. PEAK rut around here seems to fall a couple of days either side of Thanksgiving, cold weather or not.

I havent really gun hunted the state season in dang near 10 years. I plan on changing that up some this season so I hope we see more rut activity this year too.

That depends on the circumstances. I'm not referring to just sightings seen while hunting. I'm also talking about trail-cam pictures. No movement during daylight during the heatwave in mid-November, but a huge amount of buck-doe chases photographed at night during that time period. Normally, in adequate weather, we photograph a great deal of daylight chasing during the peak of the rut, even when we're hunting.

Shut down ALL of it? No. But shut down a major portion of it, yes.

Yes, November was warm. I remember just sitting outside after the morning hunt, talking with the inlaws and getting hot and sunburned. Then going out and hunting the last 2 hours of the day, and then wondering why I didn't see anything.

It's almost to the point where it doesn't really cool off much until late November.
