I wouldnt mind loading up some 00 buck and getting ahead of few dogs. I remember in Mississippi i would be running out of my stand when I heard some dogs coming. It would get my heart pumping. That was on a lease and i didnt mind. I personally wouldnt want dogs on my private property.
The only problem with dog hunters when I hunted in MS was that you cant keep dogs from crossing property lines. Not sayinmg its good or bad, just that other ways are ok too

IMO, it's more about what you like.
not all hunters are the same.
I would rather get my kicks out of hunting a deer in it's natural travels than take pot shots at it running by me , just ahead of a pack of dogs.
I'd rather spend ten hours in a deer stand and see nothing, than spend two hours watching deer after deer run past me while I stand along a road.
And, not matter what you say, shooting at running deer is NOT ethical.....IMO.
Also, I don't shoot sitting doves or running quail.......that's just not what it's about.

I think if it is legal in your state, then go for it. Dogs, or no dogs. Bait or no bait. Decoys or no decoys. If its legal, then I think its fair game.

Again, I have no problem with the "ethics" of doggin' for deer. The only problem I have with it is in practicality--the small landownership patterns of much of TN. The dogs won't stay on one small property.

I've seen members run out of town on a rail because of something they have posted on the site, including myself. I amresistant to changing the tradition I grew up with hunting in Tennessee. Does that make me closed minded? I aint sure, maybe.
Tradition, ethics or appropriate behavior is looked at differently according to who my be doing the looking and their experiences.

Being open mined is the key...We change the way we hunt through out the season as the patterns change, don't we..okay most do... So look at it from the other side of the coin...if you don't like that style of hunting then don't do it.... But don't con-dim a style just because you don't like it or even tried it...Who is to say you may not like it...That's being closed minded when you down something you have never tried...How can you comment on something you have never done??? Just a thought on the topic....

I'm not sure that's a very good argument. I've never raped or murdered but I believe I can ethically comment on those with considerable validity.
Again, just for arguments sake...
