Is anyone aware of the quality of the deer herd in
Lawrence County? Are there any reports of large bucks
killed there in recent years?

Thanks for your input,
TennesseeWhiskey

Dont know anything about Lawrence Co., but did just check the Tn. deer registry, and its had five that scored 140 or better entered since 2006. Looks like its had maybe 20 or so entered all together, so not bad. Just google Tn deer registry, then search by county, and you can see the scores of some of the better deer being taken.

There have been many good bucks killed here and the quality has improved over the last ten years or so.
It has great potential.
two friends of mine have killed a 147 gross and 159 gross respectively less than 6 miles apart on separated properties in the last few years.

Been hunting Lawrence County for over ten years. Have seen alot of good deer killed especially in the last 3 to 4 years. I think alot of people are starting to try an practice QDM. Where about in Lawrence County? More towards Wayne County, Giles, or Alabama Line?

I am particularly interested in the quality of the

Thanks,

I started hunting in Lawrence Co a few years back, great place to hunt. Big bucks. Big woods. Big bodied deer.

I would say good as i hunt the wayne county lease within 7 miles of the Tn line. I can tell you for a fact the quality of bucks in Giles <a href="http://s293.photobucketand Lincoln county are a cut above as the soil changes dramatically in those tow counties over wayne. They were also ahead of the game in deer making a comeback years ago also. If ever in Bodenham market on 64 running east outside of pulaski then stop in and chek out the hundreds of pics they have collected over the years. A friend of mine collected a really nice one 160 class a few years back in Giles county.

I married a girl from Lawrence county that has a big farm. The deer are all over it. There is plenty of soy beans and corn to grow big ones in the area.
