i put a salt block out last april 2009 and kept salt out till it was gone in feb/march of this year.starting about 2 or 3 weeks ago the deer started tearing up the spot where the block layed.they have rooted out a hole probably 4 feet in circumference and about 10 to 12 inches deep.i read somewhere that most people didnt put salt down till july so i was going to wait.are the deer looking for salt now? should i go ahead and put one out now?
