Just a simple opinion.
If TWRA is wishing to shorten the season then they must have a reason to do so, the majority of their decisions seem to have a pretty solid scientific reasoning behind them.
Then read the article in this link posted and give me your simple opinion on if you think the change is being innitiated by twra for solid scientific reasoning or not....

Last I checked this was a deer hunting forum specifically, if you want to talk about killing bears there is a forum for that as well.
You are correct,...but just the implications of the weapon type (archery) not being an effective or humane hunting method to the main legislative body of our hunting sport should be a concern to all hunters...but particularly for anyone that archery hunts (anything) at all...
maybe you just simply haven't formed your opinion on that yet... 
..or as you say, maybe you could care less....

Well I hadn't seen that article, but after reading that I sent my e-mails to those who needed them. That is total BS. I was assuming it was a TWRA biologist who was wishing for the shortening of the season, not some crooked politician who based on those comments has no business being on the commission in the first place. How did we get a bunch of non-hunters on the commission? Oh that's right, it is a twisted nightmare and basically corrupt.
As I have said before and will stand behind this state would be a lot better off if we dumped the corrupt commissioners on their head.
Sorry for my earlier uninformed comments, I didn't realize the reasoning behind the season change.

Anybody that hasn't done it yet, would you take the time to shoot an e-mail in opposition to shortening the archery bear season in e tn?... go to the TWRA forum and copy and paste the link provided in BGG's thread to a short e-mail...it won't take but a few minutes to be heard...thanks..
