This is my first post here on TnDeer. I am an avid trainer and promotor of blood tracking dogs. I raise and train Bavarian Mountain Bloodhounds for recovering wounded game. I can and will talk tracking dogs to anyone who wants to learn more. I am also one of the co-founders and board member of United Blood Trackers. My position on the board is the web maintanence and updates. UBT is a not-for-profit organization who's sole purpose is to promote the use of tracking dogs for the ethical recovery of wounded game and to assist in getting the laws changed to allow tracking dogs in the states that still refuse to see the benifits.
UBT just got through holding our annual 3 day tracking seminar up in Michigan and are looking to next year. Normally we would drop all the way down to the southern part of the country but are looking to make some changes this year. UBT is considering having Trackfest 2011 in NE Akansas, W Tennesse or SE Missouri. We have never held a training seminar in this part of the country. This is a 3 day blood tracking seminar with opportunitites to work your dog. There is also a tracking test on day 3 for those wanting to test their dog. How many people would be interested? We will also be needing a place to have it at if we get the intrest. Just putting out feelers as it takes a lot of planning and organizing. We also need specific types of places to hold it with enough land to lay all the tracks out. http://www.unitedbloodtrackers.org Here is the ling to the report for those interested in seeing what happened at this years event. http://www.unitedbloodtrackers.org/images/pdfs/trackfest%202010%20report.doc
Thanks Ken UBT board member

yes we can. you must contact the regional office to inform them you are tracking with a dog and be unarmed.
i have a beagle that has had no special training. he just took to it naturally. he has found one deer we would not have found without him and another that may have been lost.
