Just back from PA. Had an interesting conversation with a genetist/biologist I need to put you in touch with. I'll have to ask my brother-in-law who he was because I can't remember his name. He had a real intersting take on AR's.

Yes I can share but I'm not smart enough. B-I-L has gone to Canada fishing when he gets back I'll find out who this guy is. He does not specialize in deer but said the genetics in antler growth was analagous to a man with a big penis passing it on to his son. It just seldom happens. He also proved a very good point: If the goal of an AR is to provide large antlers, hunters are shooting themselves in the foot. But he talked in such biospeak he had me lost.
My B-I-L is the retired chairman of the bio chemistry department and I was amazed at how much he knew about CWD.

This post doc went into a very involved thing about geographics and the genetic impact of the doe being more important than the buck. Said the same was true in humans but he kinda lost me. I thought maybe BSK could understand him better than I. One thing I know, this is one smart dude. He used Sask as an example of why AR doesn't work. Made sense to me. But some of his words had 21 syllables.
BTW- Did you know whirling diease in trout was discovered at PA State and is closely related to other brain diseases in wildlife including CWD.

Ok,Ill bite,Then how come my 16 year old is 6 4,,like me,and looks more or less just like me?Is that random chance,could I just have easily have produced a short skinny son that has little resemblence to me?
