I was in southwest Texas and I thought I heard something that sounded like an 18 wheeler driving right next to me but it was a big swarm of bees flying over.

When I was in IL hunting for the 1st time, I noticed a consistent clanking that sounded like a flag holder pinging the a flagpole. It was an oil well thingy about 1/4 mile away.

I heard a strange sounding honk once, kinda like a drunk goose. Started imitating it had some peahens out in front of me and 2 peacocks strutting behind me. Thought about taking an ole boy "turkey" hunting there. LOL

In my younger days hunting in Lewis county out in the middle of the woods, I heard a strange sound that I had never heard before. I was only 15 yeas old and I had never heard a peacock do it's call. I was freaking out, wondering what in the world that was making that sound.
Come to find out later, the farm where I was hearing the peacock was 3 miles away (as a crow flies). I was on a high ridge and it was a cold and very still morning. It sounded alot closer than that and I am still amazed at the ways sounds travel in the woods on a still frosty morning.

I heard a loud grunting, but upon inspection of the noise it was just Sasquatch taking a dump. Seems he was constipated from eating too much Black Panther in his diet!

That is one of the most frightening noises you can hear. Sounds like a woman being torn to pieces. Absolutely blood-curdling...

In October, I used to hear a really loud and drawn out siren, like an air-raid siren. I would hear it every year about the same time.
Turned out to be the warning siren used to warn fisherman away from the giant pumps used to pump water out of the Duck River and into the waterfowl impoundments of the nearby migratory waterfowl refuge.
