What do we ask for after these changes don't bring the desired results. Big bucks are here if you will put in the work to find them and practice a little trigger finger management. Just my 2 cents.

Ditto.. Most of us started out just wanting to kill a deer and then we developed into better hunters with more patiences and hard work. I have never blamed hunting regs or others for my failures. That's one problem with this world, is that we want to blame others for our failures. It probably doesn't help that a lot of people buy into these hunting shows on deer farms.. JMO

yep, I agree, as long as it isnt harming the resource our kids should have the best opportunities we can afford them!

For most that are trying to harvest mature bucks, 4-1/2 years or older, the limit probably does'nt matter, because if you are able to harvest one a season, you are really doing good. Probably taking one every four or five years is more like it. I do believe our season is very long, with pressure starting in mid Sept., thru mid Jan. TWRA seems to be doing a good job, so I'll leave it up to the pro's to decide. Good pro's and con's each way.

I hunt for 3.5 year old bucks, if they have a monster rack than thats a plus. Things seem to be great in the areas I hunt. Now if this year it won't be 60-70 degrees during muzzleloader I would be much happier!

LOL. Maybe we should cancel all juvy hunts too. Them little scutters seem to get lucky and kill the big deer I wanted to kill.

I love this "If I can control everyone else's hunting, maybe I could kill a big deer" agenda. Reminds me of todays politics.

i love how you guys get hung up on "if i can control everyone else it will help me" lmao. the problem with that to me is that IMO it would benefit alot of hunters not just me or you. EVERYONE!
Seems to me that the hunters that hunt for big deer now are killing them. I don't know if they need any help!!! \:D \:D

The hunting in TN is much better than what you describe here. Killing mature bucks EVERY year is not at all out of reach here in TN, matter of fact I know several people who do just that every single year and have for many years. If your hunting for any type deer and only having succes every few years, you need to change something for sure. We have huntable #'s of mature bucks here now, the hunting is very good imo!

I actually like the limit the way it is and the season. Only once have I managed to take 3 good bucks in one season but I like to know that it is an option and our season is shorter than several states already.

Do you not "shoot whatever you want" ....and if you don't shoot "whatever you want" then what's keeping you?

I realize you haven't shot a buck in years, but isn't that problem soley yours? Why try to make it everybody else's problem? Why this sudden burst of complaining...I thought you were proud of yourself that your standards were so high you couldn't shoot a buck?
