As long as the season of two gun weeks and the Mz stay the same i would opt for shortening it as well as reduced buck also. I dont have a goal of but one decent buck with 8 pts or better and 16 inch spread or better. to think i would be able to tag out every years on those standards isnt likely cause i usually start looking for a better buck than the first and an even better buck than the second. I have no goal or desire of tagging on bucks smaller than that. I have been practicing these standards for some years now and i havent regretted it nor have i deviated from it much at all.

I'm all for taken hunting days away and having laws that only let hunters kill one buck. It might also help to outlaw guns and make TN archery only. Maybe we should also outlaw trail cams and make it illegal to hunt stands above ground...

I would be in favor of a reduced antlered limit and a shorter season. i think that the season should start the first of november with a two week bow season, then a two week MZ season and then open gun the first of dec. and run it until the first of jan.
two months during prime time is plenty of opportunity to kill all the deer you need.
IMO

BH I agree with limiting gun some, but even the super B&C states have very long bow seasons

Leave the season as is. Two buck limit. Allow a doe to be taken with a gun and that may decrease the number of small bucks taken during gun season. Most people will shoot any small buck if given the opportunity to put some meat in the freezer. If they were allowed to harvest one doe with a gun how many small bucks do you think would be able to walk. My opinion that would eventually lead to a shorter, more intense rut, healthier deer herd, older age class of bucks. An increase in the chances of being able to kill a very nice deer. Most people only kill one or less bucks per year anyhow.

Only thing I would like is a shorter gun season. Leave the season length the same. If you want bigger buck, IMO, you have to get the guns out and make it bow hunting. You are leaving the season lenght the same but shrinking the "kill zone".

LOL. Maybe we should cancel all juvy hunts too. Them little scutters seem to get lucky and kill the big deer I wanted to kill.
I love this "If I can control everyone else's hunting, maybe I could kill a big deer" agenda. Reminds me of todays politics.

EVERYONE!

Yes to both. Id leave the season where it is now but only run it up till the weekend before xmas. Then back to archery for two weeks then a week to 9 day long late mzl season.
Oh and Ive said for a long time I like GA buck restrictions.

I just like the idea of letting hunters mature the same way we got to. TWRA is doing a fine job managing the deer herd for me to spend maximum time in the woods and enjoy the resource. What do we ask for after these changes don't bring the desired results. Big bucks are here if you will put in the work to find them and practice a little trigger finger management. Just my 2 cents.
