Easier said than done..County WO always asks me if I can prove it,I tell them no,and they say they can't do nothing..But I have always givinen them the locations to were some of them was hunting so he could check on them, and still nothing..So I just quit calling..

Called the poaching hotline on two guys poaching rockfish about three weeks ago. WO called me in about 20 minutes. I told where I was what the guys were doing and offered to take him to them. He told me one warden was out of state and he was babysitting. There was no one to respond. I don't blame the wardens, I wouldn't have taken my son on a bust either. The fact is there are not enough wardens to patrol the counties they are assinged to. I guess the answer is to not give up on these guys. They will do something if they can.

no, i don't live there but am acquainted with the neighboring landowners. i don't recall hearing any after hours shooting and i know most of the guys that hunt the area. i am sure it happens, but not to my knowledge near us.

Its a common thing. There is a few guys that ride around every year, in several counties only looking for BIG bucks and shoot them. They check them in the next day and have them mounted. Can't prove they shot them with a light so, what do you do? Several years back there was a couple of younger boys spot lighting and killed 25 around my area that I heard of. Maybe more. Nothing was never done. I don't even know who the WO is in Morgan County.
