Just do whats right by the deer guys. Recovery is obviously the right thing. Some of the regs are great positive change. Others just make no sense.
The one that has me perplexed is the hog/dog deal. Im reading on here that it is on private land only. Thats akin to shooting a deer in the legs and feet to try to kill it. A good bit of the major hog populations in my county are holed up on TWRA controlled property(WMA). Why not go straight for the heart of this population and allow hog/dog hunting there? The season is certainly a great thing but not going for the heart, when a section of the heart is on TWRA controlled property, just isnt logical.
