Your vinyl siding?
So far I've been spraying mine with bleach water then rinsing off with garden hose. There are some places I have to scrub a little with a brush, but all in all it does fairly good. I just wonder if any of you have any better ways of cleaning yours. My main problem is the dang mold on the shaded sides. Is there something you can put on the siding that would prevent this mold in the first place?

I have the same thing happening at home. I've used bleach but sometimes the more stubborn areas require a pressure washer. Not sure about a preventative method but there is probably something available.

What I have clean wasn't mine but I think we mixed bleach with dish washing liquid to make it stick the sprayed it off with a pressure washer.

I use liquid chlorine from the pool store.
Use in a sprayer and works great.

I have been doing vinyl siding for 15 years and bleach alone is not good for the siding, It discolors it and will make it very brittle. They sell stuff to wash it with at homedepo but a few Tbls.of bleach, lemon juice and some concentrated simple green and water should do the trick and not mess it up. When i am installing I use 409 for the tough stuff. Scott

A good non toxic mildew recipe is: Gal Hot water, cup of baking soda, 2 tbl spoons lemon juice, and touch of liquid Ivory dish soap.
Tnscooter63's advice sounds good too.

I say get some snake-head-mildew-eaters and turn them loose on the siding

We use liquid Tide detergent and a long handle brush, along with a pressure washer.
