My last hunt was years ago , 1998 was the year and AEDC was the place . IT was a M/L rifle or shotgun hunt. My old high school hunting buddy Gary and me went in his Chevy Z-71 truck and he had a deer come up behind his stand but he was facing a field we were near instead of the woods behind him that afternoon. I told him to look toward the woods but to the field he faces and the buck saw him first. I was hidden in a finger of woods hat judded into the field from some private land on the logging road and he must have thought my spot was better than the trail he was on . LOL

i have had many but for bucks i killed a 9 pointer in 06 that showed up after i killed a doe for meat and shot at 3 stray dogs and missed them all, chasing deer of course and i couldnt hit them dogs for anything. just 3 minutes after shooting at the last one and missing a large 9 pt with a 17 inch spread was just standing in front of me at about 90 yards. I couldnt believe it and dropped it in its tracks by hitting it in the neck.....i was aiming for its shoulder!!! Awesome hunt!!!
