I can think of several reasons not to use a coke machine but mostly its a bad idea. I would not put my guns in anything but my gun safe.

I think it is a good idea. I am of the opinion it is best to hide the guns in plain site. Everybody knows what is in a gun safe and with enough determination will get into it. Unless the word gets out to the criminal community to start looking for guns in soda machines why would they even think to look there.

I don't think this was really a replacement for a steel safe. This was more of a fun idea to store your guns instead of under your bed. Of course a real safe is going to be more secure.
