TN Brutes TN deer

I found this big deer posted story posted and though you-all might like to take a look at this TN Brute. Well the link has a big picture of the nice buck and here is this guys story .
------------------------------------------------------------

My brother originally posted the trail cam pics of this buck on the Trail Camera Forum under the heading "TN Brutes." The deer was on my mother-in-law's land. I never could talk her into letting me hunt and believe me, I begged, offered her money, even told her I'd name a grand-kid after her.
Well, she told me over the holidays that some guy had killed it during rifle season right after Thanksgiving. I'm not sure that anyone ever got the whole story, but the guy wasn't completely legal. Here's an article telling the story and a picture of the deer. http://www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_164810.asp
My mother-in-law was pretty sick over all the shady stuff that went on with this guy killing this deer. I'm hoping that might convince her to let me bow hunt down there next year.

Yes, I believe he got crossed up about where he killed it at and he could have been trespassing!

Isn't it ironic that if the guy hadn't shot the deer of his dreams, he likely would never have been in trouble? I guess cheaters should be careful what they wish for,,,

I am from Dyer Co my self. The last I heard from the Taxidermist that has the deer the guy that shot the deer ended up getting it back and was able to check it in as a resident of the land or what ever and then took it back to have it mounted! The first guy that checked it in was given a few tickets and that was the end of it. I don't think any news sites ever reported what really happened in the end.

Sounds like if that son-in-law would have been permitted to hunt that deer on his mother-in-laws land he would have had a good chance to have been ticked for hunting over bait. I have seen some of the trail cam pictures this woman had from this deer in her back yard from one of her family members. She had a feeder out for the deer and a trail cam to take pictures! She thought of them as her pets. If he would have been hunting on her small 20 ac pice of land I don't see how he could have done it with out hunting over bait on the GW eyes!

Was called the evening he killed the deer, by a friend who is a friend of the guy who shot it. What a mess. Still, a brute of a deer!

YEA A lot of people do not know it, but Tennessee has a lot of big bucks.
The soil might not be so good but the food is OK it seems.
Those big Texas bucks they imported into Fort Campbell back in the restoration era and there big rack genes seem to be still cropping up now -and-again.

I don't care where that guy killed the deer as long as it wasn't over a pile of corn or under a spot light.

If my mother-in-law didn't allow me to hunt her property with her grandchildren I would get a new mother-in-law.

Just kidding, the only way I would ever leave my beautiful 50-year old wife would be if I could exchange her for a long weekend for two 25-year old Swedish models whose Mothers would let me shoot their reindeer. Wink!!

I wasn't saying the deer got him in trouble. It was his actions as a result of shooting it. He would have been legal (apparently) if he had killed an "average" deer and not gone through with all his charades.

All that fellow needed to do was read (and understand) the Regs, a free magazine from any and all stores that sell license.

I read the Regs almost everyday, as it sits beside my great white throne! \:D

It is a shame all he went through... when he was actually legal.

Great TN Buck!
