I realize this belongs in the General Forum, but for those like myself that rarely visit the General Forum, just a word of caution. I wouldn't go anywhere today (Saturday) where I did not have access to a weather radio. The possibility exists for a significant outbreak of severe storms across TN, especially western and middle TN.
From the Severe Storm Forecast Center:
OUTBREAK OF NUMEROUS SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED TODAY. GREATEST CONCENTRATION/INTENSITY OF WHICH SHOULD INCLUDE STRONG TO VIOLENT TORNADO THREAT AFFECTING MID-SOUTH, MISSISSIPPI DELTA REGION, AND TENNESSEE VALLEY.
A POTENTIALLY SIGNIFICANT SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK RESULTING FROM INCREASINGLY VOLATILE ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS WILL LIKELY INCLUDE AN INCREASING AND CONCENTRATED THREAT FOR TORNADOES, LARGE HAIL, AND DAMAGING WINDS. THE AREAS MOST LIKELY TO BE AFFECTED BY THIS ACTIVITY WILL BE ACROSS THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY BEGINNING THIS MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON AND SPREADING NORTHEASTWARD INTO THE TENNESSEE RIVER VALLEY AND MID SOUTH THIS AFTERNOON AND INTO THE NIGHTTIME HOURS. VERY STRONG WINDS ALOFT CHANGING DIRECTION WITH HEIGHT WILL SUPPORT THE POSSIBILITY FOR A FEW STRONG AND POTENTIALLY VIOLENT LONG TRACK TORNADOES ACROSS THIS AREA.

Its already carrying on around Clarksdale and Tunica(NW Ms) and pointing in the general direction of West and Middle Tenn. Take care.

NOAA has just issued a "PDS" Tornado Watch for Alabama and Middle TN. "PDS" stands for "Particularly Dangerous Situation." This is the most dire watch NOAA issues, and is only used when they believe a major tornado outbreak is likely.
