we have about 200 acres on one farm we own,,it is typical Jackson county,,big hill fields with some woods in the real seep parts with about 40 acres of hay ground in the bottom of the hollows,,
he wants to fence off about 6 acres and turn it under and put it out in corn and just leave it,,
would that be enough corn to make a plot or would it be a waste of time,,

in my experience it would take at least that much corn to make a plot,,it is not like biologic or something

at least that much to make a plot? if you half way planted correctly and make only 60 to 80 bushels per acre (and thats low figures) do the math on how much corn that is you are producing!!!!!!!!!

Great! Corn is expensive to put in if you do it right,but you will have plenty.
