Havin a hard time getting out to my lease in west tn to hunt. So I though I might head up to RB to fart around some, but have never been. Are there designated parking areas or do you just park off the side of the road and head up in the woods?

There are plenty of places to park, they keep the roads pretty wide going into the mines.

I mean the current mines. most of the old roads are closed to vehicles or too rough for anything other than a 4-wheeler.

I hunt that area pretty hard because that is the only place I have to go. Would not hunt there if I had access to land that was easier to hunt. You may want to look at the Red Ash area and the Sundquist area on the way to the Elk viewing tower. Also up past the firing range off flatwoods road. These areas are somewhat huntable compared to the other 99% of Royal Blue that is absolutely unaccessible. Yes there are plenty of 4-wheeler trails that will get you back in but try to imagine tracking a deer and getting it out of there. The areas I mentioned you can drive in pretty easily and just park off the road. Personally I would not venture to far from my vehicle or leave it unattended to long in an out of the way location.
