Whenever someone posts a question about climbing treestand preferences, the Summit Viper always seems to get the most positive recommendations. As a matter of fact, I don't remember ever seeing a negative comment.
For anyone who is considering buying a Viper, I did a video review that includes some helpful tips on using it. Hope you enjoy.

Best stands out there. I have used Summits for the last 15 yrs and they have done the job... I have also sold several and it seems to be the most popular stand out there.

Cool video, I agree about the paint not sticking like it should.

Cool video, I agree about the paint not sticking like it should. Has anyone had a viper for a couple years and not had a problem with the paint chipping? Like I said in the video, I've had mine for about 6 or 7 years, so I'm wondering if Summit has figured it out by now.

Nope... Been the only problem I have found... I have re-painted a few over the last 15 yrs... I think its the stress on the stands and trying to get paint to stick to aluminum. Not a bad trade off for a light, comfortable, and moble stand...
