No, that is in Maine. I believe that old man is 91...if he is still alive. He has over 60 deer he feeds and they will come when he calls them. He shoots "His Buck" each year off his front porch and his grandson comes and skins it for him and cuts it up. But he still calls it hunting.

I'm more apposed to old people wanting deer for pets. Think of all the dogs that are lonely.
Good one Rich , these are wild animals and should be treated as such !! Get a dog or a cat if you want a pet . Just my 2 cent worth .

If he is gonna bait those deer they should make him use a traditional wooden walking cane instead of that new fangled aluminum quad-cane. That makes it too easy for old people & really takes all the sport out of him baiting those deer.
And, if that is not an option, he should have to use the quad cane during walker season, not cane season, which was originally set up for real canes, not those new quad-canes, which allow old folks to ambulate as fast as a walker.

I think y'all missunderstood. I don't care if he spotlights them. I just oppose them yarding up like that. As far as I am concerned, he can kill them any time and any way.

Don't the deer up north "yard up" anyway, at that time of year?
I don't really know alot about it, but I have read about it and
seen pictures of "yarding" deer in the north wild woods.
I suppose it could be a survival type thing. I do know if I were
a deer up there and the old man in the chair wasn't a threat to
kill me, I would take his food to survive thru the harsh winter.
