I read in the Am Hunter mag where(if I remember correctly) Wisconsin has enacted legislation whereby soldiers/hunters who were on active leave from the country, and missed regular deer seasons, will be paired with landowners with depredation problems to harvest deer that are categorized as nuisance animals. Kudos to Wisconsin for this stand up move imo. ;\)

Thats a great idea. Most states already allow hunting and fishing while on leave, this is another step forward to take care of those deployed.

Great idea. I ran into that very problem in 08 thanks to you MUP I didnt do without venison.

Given the opportunity Id bet it would be supprising the number of Tn landowners that would sign up for this program.

Not real sure but a friend mentioned he got to hunt in july a few years back for depredation on a farm via TWRA permit....he killed a 8 point and a few does....check with big game guy see if this is still current and hook a brother up....
