with all this talk about limits it has got me to thinking and i want to ask you guys a ?
if you had two pieces of land miles apart that come up for lease and both were around 200 acres and habitats that were about the same but there was one difference between the two
a. the two hunters that hunted this piece of land shot whatever they wanted as long as it was legal during the time they had it
b. the two hunters that hunted this piece of land only shot mature bucks and limited themselves to only one and of course took does as needed
which piece of property would you get ?

B. without a shadow of a doubt! Although with 200acres everybody else around you is going to benefit from YOUR HARD WORK and YOUR MONEY!

I'd probably have to know a little more about each. Like which is closer and such. A good point about the ones who would shoot the first deer they saw is that if there were any mature bucks on the property, the chances of another hunter being able to take it(them) would be increased I would think.

B. without a shadow of a doubt! Although with 200acres everybody else around you is going to benefit from YOUR HARD WORK and YOUR MONEY! the reason i used 200 acres as an example is because that is what my dads farm is and the reason i bring this up is because i would think that most would want property B but will argue that limits don't matter
and your point about others that would benefit from the work you put into it is true but your work could also be a waste of time if your neighbors shoot all the young bucks you let go and don't get me wrong i'm not saying that they are wrong for doing it cause if it's legal and they have permission or own the property then it is their right to do so and i'm fine with it but i would have to move on to another spot so that i could accomplish my goals

if they killed 20 deer off A, and 3 deer off B, i would be checking to see if it was because of population difference or hunter restraint. if A was in a unit L county and B in a unit B county, i take A every time.
