Im thinking about just bowhunting on the family farm. Do you guys think it would do any good as for deer numbers ,hunting pressure, and less skidish deer? I have a two friends that hunt with me sometimes that probaly wont like this idea but I believe I have my mind set on this.

Personally, I think "pressure" is more about hours spent hunting than the weapon carried. But several bow-hunters on this site firmly believe that taking deer with an arrow produces less "pressure" on the local deer than with a gun. I certainly don't have any data to dispute that claim.

To be honest I don't think it matters one way or the other which weapon you use. I believe it is the number of hunters and the number of days you spend on the property moving about.
Try this if you want less pressure: Go in before sun rise stay tell dark to come out. No moving during daylight. See if you don't see more deer movement during daylight hours....

Its a good idea but really hard to do when you've had a tough season with a bow and gun opens up!

Im not hunting my personal land in KY until early muzzleloader this year.
This is just bc in the past two years this is when the deer come off the fields and start hitting the woods. I dont see the point in hunting early bow season and putting down scent and disturbance if they arent going to be there during daylight.
I love to bow hunt but as others have said, disturbance is more about hunting the wind, and stand hours...not which weapon you carry.
People shoot all the time in the country I dont think the deer think twice about it.

My opinion is that it's pretty easy to burn out a stand....period. I'm thinking this year I'm going to bow hunt stands on the peripheries, and stay off the better funnels until the muzzle loader season. The plan is to take a couple does early then let them alone for at least a couple of weeks.
I blew it last year hunting every day during the bow season, even though I was careful not to hunt the same stand more than once a week. It got pretty obvious after a while that they got wise to 3 or 4 of my best stands. As others said, doesn't matter much what hardware you haul into the woods...if you're in there too much they will change what they're doing to avoid you.

If you have your mind set, why ask the question? The answer is no. Deer don't care what you have in your hand. Does a bow spook deer less that a rifle? No.
You spook them.

I am probably one of the most die hard bow hunters on Tndeer. It is MY choice. I truly LOVE the sport.
THat being said, I RARELY gun hunt.
I do NOT believe gun hunting produces ANY more pressure on deer than bow hunting. If anything, since bowhunting USUALLY requires greater time selecting the perfect, close, tree. ANd often times longer blood trails, it may be possible, or arguable that this increased woods presence also causes more pressure on the deer!!!Now ask me if walking up to a landowner and asking permission as a bow hunter vs. gun hunter gets any favor?
