I saw an 8pt and 7pt sparring last week. Ive never seen that before this time of year. Is this normal? Surely there are not unbread does left. Anybody else seen this?

They actually get a shot of testosterone just before they shed, scrapes actually show up this time of year occasionally as well.

They actually get a shot of testosterone just before they shed, scrapes actually show up this time of year occasionally as well.
Winchester (as usual) nailed it. Bucks are responding to the surge of testosterone thier bodies are producing just as their old antlers are shed and the new antlers begin to grow.

Bucks spar any time they have hard antlers. Don't confuse sparring with a fight.
