Wish I could help ya. I grew up hunting in Grundy County (Skymont area). We always did pretty good, but back then it was brown and down. There are some monsters in those woods, but there was so much land to hunt back then, it made if difficult. We had land on top of the mtn and on the sides. The most productive area for us was a trail along the rim. Looked like hikers had been using it, but it was used by deer, bobcat and coyote. You could be pretty sure to take one of each every year.

I hunted about 1,000 acres in Pelham for 5-6 years. Deer hunting was pretty tough because of low deer densities in that area. I actually see a lot more deer on the top of the mountain than I do in the valley.

Have a lease there. There are a some deer there but we deal with lots of trespassers. We also dont leave our stands anymore, we lost four stands and a feeder in a three year period.

I had an opportunity at a small lease in these counties. Was wanting a place to get away with my boys and hunt and camp. Which of these two would have the best deer huinting? Thanks

Depends on the property. Its a crapshoot unless you scout it. ;\)
