I don't go around and clam whats best for unit A cause I don't hunt it...so why are you saying what we want in unit B??? I'm not!! You guys are making it perfectly clear you want to kill every buck you see! LMAO, are you kidding, reread my post, I pass on dozens of young bucks every year, and have for several years now. I do shoot a buck at 3 1/2 if he has a rack to suit me, and once they are 4.5 and older they are targeted specifically. What in the world makes you think I want to kill every buck I see? Is it because I like the 3 buck limit and actually take advantage of it, with killing 2 or 3 mature bucks each year, do you have a problem with that?

BigWes -
Is that really what I said?
I really don't appreciate being misquoted. BGG, heres the direct quote from what you typed in answer to the question. BigGameGuy TWRA Big Game Coordinator 10 Point

No catch. We're not trying to see positive results. We just don't believe there will be significant negative reslts. If you're a farmer and can give your customers three tomatoes for the price of two and still see the same results at the end of the day, why wouldn't you. It's just a good way of doing business. _________________________ For the average deer hunter a "management" buck is defined as a buck they "manage to get a shot at".
Thanks Winchester but somewhere in all those posts on that topic it was stated that it was done for simplicity. You kept asking why and why and why and that was the final answer Absolutely right Wes, the exact answer I finally got out of him was that it was done for simplicity of the regs, and they just hoped it didnt do too much damage to the resource. And so far it looks like it did not damage the resource, with more older age class bucks being killed in 09 than several years before. Time will tell and I hope the trend continues. This is what is so funny about some of the posts here from ydog and others saying unit B hunters want to kill every buck they see, while our age class being harvested here is getting older and better faster than the western portion of the state! lol he needs to get some factual info before jumping in!

Winchester, sorry you didn't see the sarcasm in my above statement. I really don't think I was directing anything towards you, anyway. I don't see where I addressed "Winchester" in any of the above.

Find a post where I said Unit B hunters "kill every buck they see". I don't think you'll find one. I have said Unit B hunters "seem" to be the majority supporting 3 buck limits. Funny how you guys see what you want to see!
And I also don't have any idea why the East TN guys seem to be the majority supporting 3 buck limits.

Most of these guys think right off if your not for lower buck limits then you shoot any and everything. I dont know how many times Ive been called a spike whacker or bambi buster and nothing could be further from the truth. They seem unable to comprehend the concept, Tn can and does offer up a good hunting experience for all types. A trophy isnt gonna hop into the bed of your pickup but if you are willing to go the extra mile its very possible goal.

Exactly right TNR, thats why I responded to the off the wall comments about wanting to kill every buck I see, not hardly!! Some people just need to spend more time and effort learning the skills instead of trying to find a shortcut or reg change to make them succesful, simply wont help if you dont make the commitment yourself first! We have thye mature bucks NOW, they are just not, and never will be, easy to kill!
