But I can't stand trophyism and the attitude that goes along with it. NOW I can understand where you're coming from. You don't mind trophy hunting, but you mind the attitude that can sometimes come with it. I can agree with that. Exactly. Some of the very best hunters I know--that have skills I greatly admire and knowledge I listen to--are trophy hunters. Yet they "do their thing" and let other hunters do theirs. They don't put anyone down for the way they hunt or what they want out of their hunting experience, and certainly don't demand other hunters be limited so they personally can have the trophy experience they want. What's not to respect about that? But these trophyists and their whiney, unrealistic demands... Very tiresome...
BSK, I think you have mistaken trophy hunters for wannabe trophy hunters. I know several trophy hunters and they are not concerned with blaiming someone for their lack of success. They are to busy creating it.

Our deer camp has trophy hunters and meat hunters and we all get along just fine...in fact in some cases the trophy hunters don't become trophy hunters until they get the meat in the freezer....and the meat hunters don't pass up any big bucks either. I just don't understand all the recent uproar....
Do what you do and let it be just that...

I live in unit B and my wall went full years ago and the Garage walls are almost full too! LOL I love the hunting for mature bucks in TN and have for several years now. I could care less what anybody else shoots, I like the 3 buck limit, and I have realistic expectations. And guess what, Im probably a trophy hunter, as I dont shoot young/small bucks!!! I will agree with much of the above, quit complaining and learn how to hunt, the rest will take care of itself!! One of these days I am going to get youto show me how you do it. Few guys have figured it out like you. Rich, if I can do it anybody can, im just like a blind hog Seriously you made a good post, our mature buck hunting is just fine here, as is the doe hunting, some just dont, and wont ever, learn to utilize it!
